Prayer Ministry

At the end of each morning service there are opportunities to pray with members of our prayer ministry.  Men and Women are always available on this team.

Prayer Focus

Including prayer walks around the village, these take place at every 2nd Sunday evening service and focus on various aspects of the church’s life and current issues.

Corporate Prayer Meeting

This is a bi-monthly Prayer Gathering, 7.45 pm on the 4th Thursday evening in the month, where all the Discipleship Groups meet together at the church to seek the Lord’s heart and direction for various aspects of church life.  One of the main areas we felt it was important for us to pray into and begin to move forward with, is the vision for some form of church plant.  We are still very much at the beginning of the process, but believe the Lord would have us commit to praying for his direction as we gather information and the team, before any decisions are made about where, what & who?

Other Prayer Events

The Prayer Ministry Team Area is instrumental in organising and facilitating prayer through the following events:

  • Week of Prayer
  • Trumpet Call to Prayer events at the NEC in Birmingham
  • Prayers of Intercession during morning services
  • Prayer Focus evenings
  • Prayer cover for a variety of church and outreach events, such as: Bromham Show; Holiday Club; Alpha, etc.
  • Half nights and Days of Prayer, including ‘adventprayer.24’
  • Promotion of prayer ideas for seasons/festivals
  • Joint prayer events with St. Owens Church
  • Encouraging prayer within Discipleship Groups and for other aspects of church life (e.g. leadership; changes to our services)
