loving and serving God in the community
Bromham Baptist is a church that loves to be involved with the local community. We are always looking for opportunities to help with, or organize community activities.
The Church, together with St Owen's Church, serves the Bromham Show committee with a hospitality tent – this provides an oasis for the hardworking team on the day of the show – and we provide refreshments, sandwiches and a place to tap into additional help and resources.
Sometimes we simply run errands or help out on sideshows that are short staffed. Towards the end of the day, we organize a fish & chip supper for the committee and helpers, and a massive team of folk from church help clear up the show ground as well as do a litter sweep.
As and when required we have also provided ‘Songs of Praise’ at the end of the show.

During a national initiative for churches to engage with their communities - entitled ‘Hope08’ - the Church was active, together with St Owen's, in serving our local village community. We provided a selection of Christian Books across the ranges for the local branch library, planted spring bulbs around the village, bought hanging baskets for the village hall and organized a family fun day. We also provided a free car washing day with coffee and cake which proved to be very popular indeed we washed 80+ cars!
At Bromham Baptist, we continually seek to work closely with St Owen's church and to meet as a Joint Church Group to plan activities together.
There was representation on the Parish Plan committee from Bromham Baptist Church and we made our building available for the committee to meet as our contribution to this important village project.
We have also recently organized
· A men’s banquet at Bromham Village Hall with guest speaker Gary Grant of The Entertainer chain of stores
· A Seniors' tea with war memorabilia and guest speaker Frank Williams – The Vicar from Dad’s army
· London Community Gospel Choir concert
· Family Fun Day with BBQ, Ice Rink and a football freestyler + lots more
· Community Clean-Ups
· The King’s Chamber Orchestra evening concert with a Teddy Bear picnic/concert in the afternoon for the children
We hope these have been of some value in terms of ‘loving and serving God in the Community'. We believe that God loves our village and the people which make up thuis vibrant community; may we seek to share His love togehter.
Look out on the home page for the next events coming shortly.
