Open the Book

Open the Book is a national initiative from the Bible Society that brings Bible stories to life for children through engaging and interactive storytelling in primary schools.

The programme uses drama, simple costumes, props and audience participation to present well-known Bible stories in a way that is memorable, accessible and enjoyable for children.

At Bromham Baptist Church, Open the Book is one of the ways we serve Bromham Primary School. Our trained volunteer team visits the school weekly and leads short assemblies and collective worship sessions based on Bible stories. Through storytelling, we aim to help children explore the Christian faith, discover key stories from the Bible and reflect on the values and themes they contain.

Open the Book is not about preaching at children; it is about sharing Bible stories in a creative, respectful and engaging way that allows children of all backgrounds to listen, participate and reflect for themselves.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Bromham Primary School and to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families through this ministry.

We are delighted to welcome visitors to all our services and events. You will find these listed in the Events section.

We will make ourselves available to meet up with you during the week if you would like to talk more about Jesus and His church here in Bromham.

Mid-week
You might also like to go to check out one of the weekly home groups, which we call 'Discipleship Groups'. We meet informally in these small groups to worship, pray and study the Bible and to encourage one another. Just let the Church Office know and we'll introduce you to a group leader.

Our 'Gathering Grounds' cafe is open Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm and there are lots of events going on in church during the week, click here for a full list.
